Hand Picked Hotels is a collection of 14 luxury country houses in great locations nationwide. Two of the hotels are proudly situated in Yorkshire, Wood Hall near Wetherby and Crathorne Hall near Yarm. The Hotels are characterized by their individual appeal, fine dining and superlative customer service.

In recognition of the superior quality of accommodation and customer service both Wood Hall and Crathorne Hall have been awarded four Red Star status - the AA’s Inspectors’ supreme accolade for the best performing hotels in Britain and Ireland.

The hotels are within easy reach of the road, train and air networks yet set in over 30 acres of private woodland and parkland.  As part of a major investment programme, our hotels have been upgraded and have undergone a significant interior redesign to make the most of their exceptional architectural qualities. They now offer guests a completely new kind of hotel experience.

Dining

Hand Picked Hotels are not only famous for fantastic buildings and locations, but are also creating an enviable reputation for high standards of food and drink. All of our restaurants offer a minimum standard of the prestigious 2AA Rosettes.
All of our Head Chefs are of the highest calibre, with each offering their own unique signature dishes, resulting in an excellent culinary array at every property. Every hotel prides itself on sourcing the finest local produce and ensuring all food is freshly prepared on order.

An excellent way of making your function extra special is to opt for private dining. This will ensure your meal or corporate event is made even more enjoyable set in your own dedicated dining area.

Both hotels were formerly country houses and this enables us to offer you a wide range of quality bedrooms.  All boast, 28" to 42" Plasma / LCD TV, DVD player , Telephone, Tea, Coffee & Bottled Water, Broadband, Hairdryer, Selection of magazines, Bathrobe and Slippers, Iron and Ironing board, Safety deposit box, and Trouser Press.
