LOCATION
| The easiest route to the University is to take the outer bypass (A64 on the south and east sides of the city, A1237 round the north and west) to the junction with the Hull/Bridlington roads [A1079/A166]. From this junction, the route to the University is signposted. From the city centre, the recommended routes are via Lawrence Street and Green Dykes Lane or via Fulford Road and Broadway. You are advised to avoid York city centre by car, as much of it is a pedestrian area.
The Heslington campus is served by several local bus and cycle routes. By bus or bike the journey from campus into the city takes 10-15 minutes.
