ABOUT
An exclusive 30 bedroom luxury castle hotel.
With 4 Red Stars and 3 Rosettes awarded by the AA for excellent facilities, high levels of service and quality of cuisine, this is the highest rated hotel in Yorkshire and Cumbria.
Swinton Park is the ancestral home of the Cunliffe-Lister family and is set in 200 acres of parkland, lakes and gardens.The castle is surrounded by the family estate in which guests have access to rivers, reservoirs, moorland, dales and beautiful countryside bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The recently refurbished spa, is equipped with a sauna, jacuzzi and relaxation zone. The four treatment rooms offer a wide range of face, body, beauty and complementary therapies, using the [comfort zone] and Jessica ranges of products.
The restored Georgian stables have been recently converted into a state of the art Cookery School, run by celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager.
The hotel has a civil licence for weddings and five function rooms equipped for meetings, conferences and presentations.

MEETING ROOMS
The function rooms at Swinton Park cater for a wide range of events, functions and parties. From a board meeting in one of the turret rooms to a company presentation in the library (seating up to 120), we are able to offer top of the range facilities, within the splendour of our traditional surroundings and superb location.
The links for the rooms below give you further details, images, room layout and capacities of each of the meeting rooms. They all enjoy sweeping views over the surrounding parkland and are light and airy, decorated in a quietly traditional style. Blackout facilities are available in all rooms. WiFi access to the internet is available throughout the hotel.
The delegate rates are as follows :
24 hour Standard rate : £185 per delegate
This rate includes lunch and dinner, bed and breakfast and use of a conference room and facilities. The package also includes a morning serving of orange juice, bacon butties and pastries, three servings of coffee/tea and biscuits during the day, and an afternoon serving of scones, clotted cream, shortbread and cake. Mid-range bedrooms are booked for delegates, with upgrades wherever possible.
Day rate : £50 per delegate
This includes three servings of coffee/tea and biscuits during the day, lunch, the use of a conference room and facilities.
Additional Meeting Rooms : £100 per day
This includes the use of the room and facilities

BEDROOMS
The bedrooms, on first and second floors, are individually designed and decorated on the theme of a Yorkshire town, dale, castle, abbey or garden, according to the aspect of the room. For example, the Harrogate room faces south across the lake and deerpark whilst the Richmond room faces east overlooking the gatehouse and driveway.
All rooms are equipped with two direct dial telephones, a modem point, CD player, satellite TV, trouser press, drinks tray and coffee/tea facilities.
Four of the thirty bedrooms are suites and the turret room is on three floors with a (steep!) staircase between. A lift serves both first and second floors. Four of the ensuite bathrooms are equipped for disabled use.

Road
Directions from the A1:
Take the B6267 off the A1 signposted Thirsk and Masham and follow the signs to Masham. Once you reach the town centre follow the road past the Market Square and HSBC Bank. Take 2nd right onto Swinton Terrace, this road will lead you past Masham Golf Course and up the hill to the gates of Swinton Park.

Spa Package
The package includes a two night stay for two, with dinner, bed and breakfast, the choice of any two treatments (lasting up to an hour each) along with exclusive use of the spa for an hour, and some [comfort zone] samples to take home and keep you pampered until your next visit.
We have on offer a wide range of face, body, beauty and complementary therapy treatments, using the [comfort zone] and Jessica range of products, and the spa is available to hotel guests only, on an exclusive use basis.
The package applies to all rooms apart from suites for Sunday through to Thursday night bookings and costs £540.
Celebration Package
Splash out on the ultimate VIP package with chocolates and champagne on arrival, flowers in your room and a half hour back, neck and shoulder massage. This selection of treats costs £100 and is available at any time, please just advise reception on booking your room.
Half Term Trick or Treat
Bring the children with you for the October half term and they stay for free. Offer applies to children sharing a room with an adult. Children's menus, high chairs, cots and z beds are available along with an indoor games room and cinema with an X Box, and an outdoor play area. Pumpkin Pie and Lanterns will be on offer!!
Easter Eggstravaganza
Stay with us for three nights over the Easter period, and the third night is free. This offer is based on the dinner, bed and breakfast package, with meals from the bar menu (along with a complimentary bottle of house wine) available as an alternative to the restaurant menu.
During the week before and week after Easter a special DB&B rate is available for all bookings of one night or more, with £200 for a Knight's room and £240 for all other rooms.
April Breaks
Make the most of the springtime and enjoy a weekend at Swinton, with special dinner, bed and breakfast rates available for a Friday and Saturday night stay. This applies to the weekends of the 20/21st and the 27/28th April. Normally unavailable on a Saturday night, the DB&B rates apply for these weekends and start at £200 per room for two guests.

Our cookery school, Rosemary Shrager at Swinton Park, runs a programme of one, two and four day courses which include Basics for Life- a good gift idea for the novice chef - and other themes such as Dinner Parties, Simply Italian, Fish and Game. Partners are always welcome to join guests on a course for lunch or dinner, so you won't miss out on the results!

Susan Cunliffe-Lister, Country Life Gardener of the Year 2001, has pioneered the restoration of the parkland and lakes and the four acre walled garden.
