The Castle Museum is situated in York City Centre. It is the only museum of its kind and is built on the site of the old Debtors Prison. It houses the cell in which Dick Turpin was held prior to his execution on 7th April 1739. The dinners are held on the Edwardian and Victorian cobbled streets, complete with period shops and vehicles. Capacity 25 – 600 guests.
The National Railway Museum is situated behind York Railway Station and is the largest museum of its kind in the world. You can dine on the platforms surrounded by royal carriages from the Victorian / Edwardian eras. The Conference Centre has a choice of rooms to suit your specific requirements. We also have two adjacent rooms that, when opened together, create an exhibition space measuring 275sqm. The entire museum is also licensed for wedding ceremonies. We also have 6 NEW conference rooms opening in 2008. Capacity 20 – 800 guests.
Situated in the shadow of York’s city wall, you will find the Merchant Taylors Hall. The magnificent 14th Century main hall has a 30ft high ceiling with exposed beams and carvings. The building consists of two halls, the Great Hall and the Small Hall and is available to hire for weddings, corporate events and private parties. Capacity 25 – 150 guests.

Situated in the city centre, Manchester Art Gallery is one of the most prestigious and stylish settings for events. The magnificent Victorian Entrance Hall and stunning glass Atrium have a unique atmosphere, perfect for receptions, weddings and corporate events. Capacity 30 – 400 guests.
Located at The Quays, Manchester, the Imperial War Museum North is one of the most unusual event venues in the UK. You can dine under a suspended Harrier Jump-jet, or make a presentation beside a T34 Russian tank. Manchester City Centre is two miles away and Manchester International Airport is within thirty minutes drive. Capacity up to 700 but space available for smaller events.
Set in historic buildings on the site of the world’s oldest railway station, The Museum of Science and Industry Manchester, is a unique venue for any event. The Museums purpose built conference centre offers you space for any meeting or exhibition. For an evening event with a difference, our costumed staff will be happy to greet you and your guests. Capacity up to 300 guests. |

Discovery Museum
Discovery's impressive entry atrium is the home of Turbinia the world's first turbine-powered vessel which has recently been updated. Now available for evening hire, you can dine amongst the rich North East Heritage.
For conference and hospitality, the Great Hall provides a magnificent setting for any event. It can be hired for events such as exhibitions, product launches, formal dinners or private receptions. The Museums versatile galleries can also be hired for evening hospitality – perfect for an unusual drinks reception. Max capacity 350
The Laing Art Gallery
The Laing is an established and popular venue for business seminars, corporate hospitality and major PR events. The purpose built function room is adjacent to the magnificent collection of art and contemporary café. The Gallery is also renowned for its high profile temporary exhibition programme of both historical and contemporary art. Situated in the heart of Newcastles lively centre, an accessible new entrance to the Laing which is easily visible from the city centre was opened in 1996. Capacity 20-250
The Segedum Roman Fort
A venue steeped in history the Segedunum provides a unique setting for conferences, weddings, receptions and private parties. Guided tours, private views of the reconstructed Roman bath house, lectures and themed entertainment can also be arranged on request – perfect for any team building event or historical convention. The Daniel and Corder rooms boast spectacular views over the site and River Tyne, combining history with contemporary meeting room space. Capacity 15-150
