Situated in one of Britain’s most aspirational locations, the HIC portfolio has the ability to cater for a broad range of events and functions. The portfolio includes eight exhibition halls providing 16,500 sq m of exhibition space, with the opportunity to utilise in-house exhibition creation expertise and services. In addition the Queens Suite can accommodate up to 600 guests and is sub-dividable into as many as ten individual soundproofed rooms, whilst the Kings Suite is a multi-purpose function room with bar and catering lounge areas.

The HIC portfolio also includes the Royal Hall and the art deco styled Sun Pavilion. The Royal Hall was reopened in April 2008 after a £10.7m restoration programme providing a multi-purpose entertainment space seating 1026, and with 436 removable seats to create a versatile area, which can be used for banquets, dances, catwalk, demonstrations and much more.

The Sun Pavilion is set in the tranquil Valley Gardens, and can host events of all kinds – from weddings, civil ceremonies and social gatherings, to corporate events and seasonal occasions. The purpose-built 2,000-seat auditorium at the heart of the conference centre, with its’ impressive technical capabilities, completes the HIC portfolio.

Because Harrogate is equidistant between London and Edinburgh, and both the East and West Coasts, it has a large geographical appeal for delegates and event guests alike. HIC’s Accommodation Booking Service (ABS) offers a bespoke service for all budget levels, and this excellent service is free for all event organisers. The ABS has a very close working relationship with accommodation providers within the town and District, ensuring that they are able to secure and pass on special offers, and obtain up-to-date information about all the latest accommodation developments.

Once in Harrogate delegates rarely have need of their vehicles as hotels, eateries and out of hours bars, pubs and restaurants are all within easy walking distance of the HIC venues.
